Minidv Video
Can I put my videos on my PC with my JVC MiniDV camcorder 25x optical zoom?

I have the video camera. I want to make some skate videos and I do not know how to transfer video to my PC. If you know how can you tell me and what kind of things I need. Is there something I need to succeed?

Video Capture / Editing Process * * transfer video files from computer to VCAM, ie, using a program to capture video stream from the PC VCAM, EDIT to make the movie, then FINISH movie as a file or burn video to DVD. For starters, XP / Windows Movie Maker (WMM) would provide the simple & easy to learn the process where by Pixelan could SpiceFx provide better presentations. After learning the video capture / editing tricks through WMMaker, you may later venture into other video editing programs – Ulead, Premiere, Pinnacle, etc. with the effects of large Hollywood – VCAM connect to the computer via a FireWire cable (4 or 6 pin) for good transfer (USB can do but drop frames of May) – Open (Free w / XP) Windows Movie Maker in the computer (for starters) ** see / click Help WMMaker … it is very detailed. Steps a. Set the camera mode to play recorded video. B. In the WMM Tasks pane / Capture Video, click Capture from video device. C. the video files from VCAM will be put into WMM collection (usually there are several video files from VCAM although you will not see on the reading VCAM). d. WMM EDIT: drag & drop video files one by one from collection to storyboard graph clip below noting proper number e. edit your video further if you want: Add captions, transition effects, music / Recorded narration, etc. f. WMM finish recording your movie or video files (WMAv) … Thus, the transfer of video files is complete NOTE: Repeat steps af above for additional VCAM capture or import the previous video / audio files, EDIT and muvee's it! Hope this helps …
