What do I need to connect a DVD / VHS unit and a Super-8 camcorder to my computer so I can rip some movies?

I want to store some movies and edit home movies without having to buy programs Spielberg. Is it possible to do this for about $ 100? If not, What should I watch?

mainly, you need a capture card. It will come with the Pinnacle system already mentioned. Or you can buy one by itself for about $ 20 on ebay, so there are many programs better than Pinnacle. Fitting is easy, simply plug and install and connect cables, install the program, learn the program and you're done. Or, you can get a standalone recorder, but easier I prefer to follow the path PC and suffer from the initial learning curve then you will have much more flexibility.
