How can you tell if a mobile Phone Battery is about to die?

I mean definitely. Its an old Nokia and was very slow to receive the recent texts. Friends phone is switched off or broken but you know its been slow lately and without doubt about the outcome. Is this what happens when the battery lead to go with texts are not delivered, etc. Unable to contact a friend ask.

Hi i wouldnt have thought it was your battery, it can be either your network provider has problems which the taking time to get through or it might actually be time for you to upgrade to a newer model phone! but then if your friends phone is off or broken then obviously the text of your usual cannot get through you, the text of someone else to see if the network or phone? ….
