Why doesn `t my Panasonic Dmc TZ5 9 MP Digital Camera take pictures that are 9 Mp size?
It `s fine` fixed `and` 9M "but the resulting files are only 3 or 4 Mb.
Multiply width by height of an image in pixels – you should get about 9 million, or both. That's your 9MP (Megapixel). 3-4 MB (megabytes) has nothing to do with the number of pixels, is how much storage space is take on your hard drive. I would say 3-4 MB is a very common size for a file to a JPEG image 9MP high quality / low compression, so it looks like your camera is doing well. LEM.
