Can you plz help me fix my car?

My car is a JVC model: KD-G300 I have the lights when I insert cd.Ones a CD is in the lights went off.I made the radio in the house and used a Power Supply 12 volts, and the red and yellow wire positive and black to the same negative thing happen. I know that the problem be related to the radio itself, Can someone help me to correct, there is no question that I am a girl I'm intelligent and can learn all i need is a instrution.Or step by step if you know of a website for me to go see it will be cool to.I hope someone can help me, I'm working on resolving this for 4 weeks now.

Do not apply not the time served. Just go to Wal Mart, spend like $ 50 – $ 100 on a new and pioneering wire it in. Too easy
