Battery Monitor

Sometimes, when my laptop is running on the monitor battery is empty but cpu is on the sound continues?

I try monitor task manager, everything is black I can hear his songs from films The only option is to hibernate and can then screen returns to normal and will down this fine ever happens when laptop is on the power im guessing there's some problem with Power Cable between the monitor and the battery or is it a Windows problem? im pretty sure the battery is fine.
