Why does my Car Battery is not dependent?

my battery does that bear for a week or so bumpstarting needs recharging?

With your engine running, remove the positive cable from your alternator. If the car keeps running, your alternator is good and your battery may need to be replaced. If the car goes dead, your alt. Belts may need tightening between replacement or your alternator may need to be replaced. Most batteries will carry a flag on when they were purchased, either on top (you may have to wipe the top to see) or a pocket on the side with paper inside.
