How do I know which settings to use on my Battery Charger?

I can not say if the battery of my lawn tractor is wet gel or AGM, and a new charger requires that I press a button to make a choice. The old battery (in need of a charge) has two pieces of long plastic on top which are similar to the old style caps cell, but I do not think they are supposed to stand. The new we have nothing like that on top. Neither the battery indicates what type it is. How do I safely charger for these batteries?

Search the battery for a phone number or a marker of type or number of shares. Find a number to place local tractor or 800 number for your tractor company and ask them. They will put you in the right direction. If you do not see any type of plug for water to enter ….. It is probably a type of gel. They usually have a greenish top.
