Aaa Nimh
I want to buy a flashlight brightest for a given number of a type of battery. How do I do that?

I would also like have some way of determining what kind and how many batteries compare. For example, what would be more powerful? A flashlight that uses 2 C batteries or 4 which uses 4 AA batteries? How bateries D or C are equivalent to a battery lattern? I speak alkaline or Rechargeable Nimh AA or AAA. I do not think I saw an alkaline lattern. Thank you

Brightness is measured in lumens or light. first time, is either a lantern battery 6 volts or 12 volts. both batteries are Lanter, thats the equivalent of 4 or 8 c / d. respectfully batteries (6 V = 4 12 V = 8). a couple facts must be known first. in the past, C and D were the brightest lights of cells because the larger batteries (including lantern cells) produced more power. the more current (amps) the brightest bulb. Recent technology, however, there are flashlights with 1 Aaa Battery that Shine a mile long beam. This is due to the introduction of LEDs in flashlights. they are much brighter and use less energy. I am a firefighter, and have several different lights for different applications. thry this site and watch the different models and compare the results and so on. http://www.galls.com/category2.html?assort=general_catalog&cat=2830
